One of three pieces submitted for Haas Pinhole Exhibition December 2011 http://haascollective.com/
Working
with a pinhole camera I became especially aware of time/timing,
working in the dark. Sitting in meditation embodies similar concepts
for me.
Themes
that emerged after printing the images; killing time, making time,
out of time, liminality, dark, black, denial, prima materia,
light/white/conciousness, purifying, remain in light.
The
works refer to, imply and use techniques which embody; discipline,
perseverance, dedication, purification, process, transformation,
veiling and revealing; establishing a groundless ground to sit on.
Dimensions: 220 x 40 x 25 cm
Materials: wood, glass, perspex, cotton fabric, sewing thread, paper, acrylic varnish
